Aztalan State Park is a National Historic Landmark and contains one of Wisconsin’s most important archaeological sites. It showcases an ancient Middle-Mississippian village that thrived between A.D. 1000 and 1300. The people who settled Aztalan built large, flat-topped pyramidal mounds and a stockade around their village. Portions of the stockade and two mounds have been reconstructed in the park.
Veterans Park is a two-acre neighborhood park located in downtown Johnson Creek. This park offers playground equipment, a basketball court, beautiful gazebo, an honor board of local veterans, and restroom facilities.

The Glacial River Trail is a 55+-mile off-road/on-road rural route winding through farmland, prairie, wetlands, and woodlands in three counties in southeastern Wisconsin. Bikers, pedestrians, and in-line skaters may enjoy trails that showcase nature’s beauty, as well as parks and rivers along the way. The Glacial River Trail joins with the Glacial Drumlin State Trail near the Jefferson bypass which heads east towards Waukesha and west towards Cottage Grove.
