10am Ceremony: Village of Johnson Creek’s Veterans Park: On Union Street in front of Village Hall (If inclement weather, event will be at Crossroads Gym)
Lunch Immediately Following: American Legion Post 305: 223 1st Ave., Johnson Creek
To honor the holiday, Johnson Creek American Legion Post 305 will hold a ceremony at Veterans Park in Johnson Creek. The Johnson Creek High School Band will preform patriotic music and State Representative Barb Dittrich, from the 38th Assembly District, will be speaking. There will be a poem recital and reading of the Memorial Roll of Honor to remember area veterans who have recently passed away. A 50-year member of the American Legion Post 305 will be recognized.
Plus, the American Legion Auxiliary will be hosting a lunch afterwards (for a fee) at the Post which is located at 223 1st Street in Johnson Creek, and a raffle drawing will be a 1pm. Please visit American Legion Post 305’s Facebook page for more information.
